Hearts and Bones Animal Rescue is a 501c non-profit organization. It is a network of fosters and volunteers that help shelter dogs find loving forever homes. They rescue dogs from overcrowded shelters in the Dallas, TX area and transports the dogs to New York City. The organization focuses on these cities because Texas is the state with the 2nd highest kill rate and New York City has the highest dog adoption rate. My dog, Butter, was rescued via Hearts and Bones in 2020 and has given me a life of purpose and love.

I have helped raise over $150,000 for Hearts & Bones through various outlets. I wrote a short story and was the recipient of the 2021 Grand Prize award for Petco Love Holiday Love Stories. I have drawn over 100 pawtraits (pet portraits) and raised over $10,000 through our instagram account @friendsofbutter and illustrated T-shirts for Heart & Bones.

We plan to continue to give forward to the rescue organization.
