Social Impact
Recognized by the World Economic Forum as a Global Shaper and selected as an Impact Officer, I am committed to contributing to the broader goals of society. I started my career in Japan, working full time at SoftBank while volunteering in disaster relief after the 2011 East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami. As an onsite construction volunteer, I helped rebuild homes and community spaces in the aftermath of the Tsunami.
As a Global Shaper I have lead 3 projects under the inclusion and education pillars, and have supported various initiatives that are aligned with my skills and interests. In addition, I am currently using my illustration skills to help raise money for a rescue organization. I want to continue my growth as an employee and as a person, to design more equitable, inclusive, and sustainable communities.

Liven up Your Life Challenge
Collaborated with my former professor and designer, a San Francisco Global Shaper, and a representative from the Home Depot to deliver over 200 planters with seeds, worth over $5,000, to students in West Sacramento to uplift spirits during the COVID-19 pandemic.Â
HUMAN TO HUMAN (H2H)
As a leader of a project called Human to Human (H2H), we created safe and vulnerable spaces throughout New York City to combat loneliness by creating meaningful connections. The project was concluded with the COVID-19 pandemic. We helped facilitate conversations and created meaningful connections for over 250 New Yorkers from Middle Schools to Senior Centers.
Friends of Butter
After adopting my dog Butter, I've started to illustrate dogs and cats in exchange for a donation toward Hearts & Bones Rescue. Since starting in August 2020, we (Butter and I) have raised over $10,000 and drawn over 100 pawtraits (pet portraits) through our instagram account @friendsofbutter. We plan to continue to give forward to the rescue organization.
