Visual Design
Stories can become more effective and inspiring with visual design. As a trained architect, I enjoy using my design skills to produce and visually tell stories. Below are miscellaneous samples of my work.
Please note, I am fully aware that I am NOT a visual designer. I see myself as a Strategist and Researcher who appreciates good design, can collaborate with designers, and am willing to roll up my sleeves when needed to create items such as those on my website knowing full-well I always have things to learn from amazing visual designers. :)
RESILIENT ORGANIZATIONS AND LEADERSHIP
During a conference with the firm's top leaders (80-100 leaders), they attended an informative lecture. The leadership group had breakout sessions, where in groups of 5, they brainstormed key questions, ideas, and roadblocks. Each group wrote down their ideas onto formatted poster boards and shared with others. I helped consolidate all of their ideas, found patterns, and mapped out an action-oriented change journey that is manageable for the firm. The infographic was used by leaders to debrief this section of the event to their offices and was sent as part of a communication piece.

LEADERSHIP ACTION GUIDE
Leaders play a crucial part in organizational transformation. As part of a new service-design, the action guide was created to give clear direction for people to lead the company's transformation. Created as a "brand-less" product, the guide template can be customized for individual organization's needs, with different sections to pick and choose from. Leaders can use this guide to learn about best-practices and behaviors to avoid when leading their teams and organizations.

RESEARCH WEBSITE
As of July 2016, Perkins+Will had several different research initiatives running in many directions, and as a result had several micro-sites and landing pages for external communication. I was asked to help create a very quick turnaround website with the IT Team and Research Labs to display Perkins+Will's research capabilities while in my hybrid role reporting to the CMO and CIO.
Because of the limited time frame and demand, we duplicated an existing website (AREA website) to use its digital architecture. I edited the website interface and created graphics while collaborating with each lab and initiative leader for website content. The website was launched in a 3 weeks.

MANAGEMENT AND LEADERSHIP EVOLUTION
What keeps leaders up at night? As technological advancement accelerates transformation, traditional ways of doing business become obsolete. Top leaders are recognizing that heroic leadership and linear thinking, once the foundations of management and leadership, are being replaced by new principles.
Designed to be read via a mobile device, the Management and Leadership Evolution infographic illustrates where we’ve been and where we’re heading, referencing some of the key concepts and thought leaders.
